It’s June, so I finally had to bug ya to Vote & Donate (and Book Us, please)!!

June 10, 2014

Hi there!  Bet you’ve been wondering where I and the monthly MO Productions blog/newsletter have been.  You have been wondering, right?  Hmmm…  That response seems kind of lackluster.  Guess I’ll chalk that up to it being Tuesday and everyone is tired from the recent heat wave & other wacky weather we’ve had here in Denver.

Such lovely May weather we had!

Such lovely May weather we had!

Look closely at the above photo, folks.  That’s not snow.  That’s HAIL!  We had a tornado touch down about a mile from my home on May 21st, and the photo you see was taken a couple miles north of where the funnel cloud hit.  Luckily, my neighborhood only got a little hail with a bunch of rain & wind that day.  I love cleaning out piles of wet, sloppy, stinky leaves from my gutter, LOL!

Okay, so that’s it?  We had bad weather?  No, my dear people, not at all.  2014 is proving to be a very challenging year for both MO Productions as well as for myself, personally.  It’s rare that I mention my personal life in these missives to you, but I felt it was necessary to give you a little insight as to what’s been going on in my world so that you may better understand the more sporadic blogs/newsletters that I have published this year.  I have had to shift my energies this year and focus a bit less on MO Productions and more on my survival skills.  In short: I am in desperate need of daytime employment.  I haven’t had a full-time job since July of 2012.  What many of you may not realize is that while MO Productions is my “little baby”, this business is not yet at a point that I could make a living off of it.  For over 4 years I was able to find a good balance between my M-F day job and my Murder Mystery biz until the company I worked for downsized in preparation to be sold.  The next thing I knew – POOF!  No job!  There is much more to this story, but what you need to know is that YES, I have been trying to find employment again for quite some time, and have found work during these two years, but nothing that was lasting or financially gainful.  So, if anyone knows of a decent-paying M-F day job that available, please e-mail me at matthew@moproductions.net or call me at 303.408.4246.  My two dogs and I would greatly appreciate it!

Marilyn & Jack - My dogs

Marilyn & Jack say “Put our Dad to work so we can go to the park more often!”

Now that I shared with you some of my more negative energy, I think we need to dispel it with TONS of positive energy!!!  I am excited to inform you that I have recently been elected President of the Board of Directors for Aspire, Inc., the brainchild of my friend and MO Productions actor/stage manager, Christopher Michael Judge.  Aspire, Inc. is a fledgling nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, educating about and redefining philanthropy.  To help aid in our growth, I am donating my upcoming “2nd 21st Birthday”, aka my 42nd, to Aspire, Inc.  How do you donate a birthday?  Simple!  I am looking to find people to donate money to Aspire during the 42 days leading up to July 19th, which is my birthday.  Ideally, I’d love to get 42 donations of $42, but we will accept donations of other amounts, of course.  But the $42 donors will get a nice gift from Aspire, Inc.  The primary donation website is Fundly.com, but you may also make donations smaller than $10 on the Aspire, Inc. Facebook Page.  I got this idea of donating my birthday from Christopher, who is currently doing the same for his 38th birthday.  Now, which campaign should you donate to?  Why, BOTH, of course, LOL!  But, since I realize that may not be in your budget, just donate to my 42/42 campaign, because I have bet Christopher that I can raise more $$ than he can.  So, please, help prove me right!

42-42 FB Event Photo

Okay, I just hit you up for moolah, and now I am going to be bold enough to ask you for a few more minutes of your time… to VOTE!

That’s right!  The Denver A-List is back and voting has begun!  We have been fortunate enough to place as a Finalist for Best Theatre Group for the last 4 years.  Please go and vote for us and help us do it again for a fifth year!  If you’ve never voted, it’s FREE and very simple to register to vote.  You get 1 vote for each category per each e-mail address you register (hint, hint…).  And there are advantages to voting for a number of businesses by way of Voter Deals.  Please, check out the A-List and vote for us, and be sure to pass it on to as many people as you can!  Voting ends August 17th, which will come sooner than you think!  Thank you in advance for your vote!

And a special Thank You goes out to JoAnn Holland and her gang at Alley 15 in their Centennial neighborhood, for whom we will be performing The Return of Sherlock Holmes this Friday as a private home party.  JoAnn saw us perform at Cherokee Ranch & Castle last year and kept us in mind to be the entertainment for her group of neighbors.  We love doing Home Parties, and although our production schedule has been pushed back quite a bit, I am still very much looking forward to writing our NEW Home Party show, Honey, I Think We Killed The Neighbors!

Thank you all, as always, for your continued support and word of mouth advertising.  Even though things are a bit rough here, we are still here.  I cannot thank the small group of very good friends and my family who have been helping me out when needed nearly enough for all they’ve done.  I am so grateful for your help.

Kind Regards,

Matthew D. Osmun – Owner/Director/Actor

//

February flew by, and on the Ides of March someone will DIE!

March 13, 2014

Whoops!  Darn, that February with only 28 days, sneaking up on me again!

Actually, it wasn’t that February is a short month that resulted in no blog/newsletter last month.  The truth is I was on deep undercover assignment to seek out the most utterly ridiculous laws in the United States that are still in place (i.e. technically still enforceable).  And I believe I found #1, which is: It Is Illegal To Have A Sleeping Donkey In Your Bathtub After 7:00 p.m.  This little gem, demonstrating this country’s irreproachable judicial system, is from the great state of Kentucky.  Go figure.

Not buying that?  Okay.  In reality, February was a slooooow month for us, with no performances booked, plus we experienced some setbacks regarding our next new show.  Add some personal unpleasant stuff on top of all that and I just didn’t have it in me to come up with a cheery February blog.  Oh, and the above law is real, by the way.  So, another quick blog just to update you on a few things.

First, the opening for our next new show, The Dick Van Dead Show, which was to be this Saturday, has been postponed until further notice.  The production has proved more challenging than expected, so I’m pulling in the reins and allowing further incubation until we are closer to a finished product as well as have a few performances firmly booked.  So, if you are a venue or know of one that would like to have the distinction of housing the World Premiere of our next new show, please fill out our Inquiry Form.  Also, we are looking for an actress who can impersonate Mary Tyler Moore/Laura Petrie, circa 1963.  If that’s you, please also click on the previous link to set up an audition.

So, was this Saturday canceled?  No!  In place of “Dick Van Dead” we are allowing Cherokee Ranch & Castle to host a rare public performance of the recently rejuvenated The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery, which is now only being offered to select venues & clients that normally does not include the Castle.  Ticket sales end this afternoon, so please call 303.688.4600 ASAP today if you want to grab one of the few remaining seats for this Ides of March performance!  Here is the performance info:

The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery

@Cherokee Ranch & Castle – 6133 N Daniels Park Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135
Saturday, March 15th, 7:00-10:30 p.m.

Journey back to 1942 as we join the Society of Winemakers Interested in Local Levity for their Vintage of the Year awards dinner, hosted by Society President, Anna Nutherplees. Three local vineyard owners will be competing for the title, including French war refugee Jean Pierre LaFoote and the very young new bride of one of the oldest winemakers in the area, Henrietta Hottentotten. Joining the Who’s Who crowd of celebrities and Society members in attendance are Victoria Lawless, mysterious local nightclub singer, and Cub Reporter Simon Spade of the Denver Post, who covers all the Society’s functions. When a death occurs, Simon fulfills a dream and becomes an unlikely hard-boiled detective to determine what happened and if international espionage is involved!

Due to slight sexual humor this show is rated PG. At least 6 audience members become characters in the show, so if you have someone you’d like to ‘volunteer’ for us, bring ’em along!

In the Castle Great Hall! $70/person includes limited exploration of the Castle, Performance, Supper Buffet from Gourmet Catering, Dessert and Coffee. Cash bar.

Seating is limited so please visit http://cherokeeranch.org/crcPages/murder_home.php to get your rezzies in, or call 303.688.4600. Doors open promptly at the listed start time and your timely arrival is appreciated by your fellow patrons.

Order an Official “Grapes” t-shirt today! Lots of sizes and colors available!!

So, due to  the delay for “Dick Van Dead”, our subsequent new shows after that have to be pushed out as well.  I am not speculating as to what the revised production schedule will be until I things with “Dick” firmly in hand.  Er… I mean… Oh, never mind!  Come on out and catch our sweet “Grapes” this Saturday, or, if you belong to a wine club/society, own a winery, belong to a country club, are looking for entertainment for a private corporate party or a personal party in your home, or have a charity that needs a fun fundraiser idea, please call me at 303.408.4246 or fill out the Inquiry Form at the link above.

Thank you, and hopefully more to come next month.  Until then, thank you, as always, for your continued support and word of mouth advertising!

Kind Regards,

It’s January, and we’ve got something for you to wine about!

January 14, 2014

My Goodness! Where did the time go?! Last I checked, it was right after the holidaze. I guess maybe I was enjoying this season’s batch of homemade eggnog a bit too much…

Happy 2014, everyone! I’m keeping this very short I am juggling a bajillion projects at the moment, all of which needed my attention yesterday!

We hope you like wine, because we LOVE our newest venue, Wild Women Wine, and the great staff they have there! We have performances there this Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday from 4-7 p.m.  Sunday is just about sold out (or even may be by this posting) and Thursday has a few remaining seats available. Please stop in at 1660 Champa St to purchase tickets or call Wild Women Wine at 303.534.0788 to make your reservation. They are making three custom vintages just for our shows there to represent the three contenders for Vintage of the Year, and these special vintages will be for sale during the performances!  We strongly suggest you come see the show and order a Big Girl Glass of wine (or three) to enjoy the evening!

The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery

“Grapes” will be available all year round, but it will only be able to be booked by a winery, wine club/society, private corporate party, country club, charity or a private home party.  The theme is perfect for private groups that want to encourage that the audience dress the part or have a bunch of friends who like to Swing dance, which is our big group audience participation for the show. Call Matthew at 303.408.4246 for booking info!

A week after our first “Grapes” performance, we will be in downtown Denver again, but this time we will be the audience (of sorts) as we hold open auditions for our next show…

The Dick Van Dead Show

MO Productions Murder Mystery Comedy will hold open auditions on Thursday, January 23rd from 7:00-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 25th from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Academy Of Cosmetology Arts, 1060 Bannock Street, Suite 320, Denver, CO 80204.

No appointment necessary. Cold readings. We are casting for our new show, The Dick Van Dead Show plus looking for talent for future shows. “Dick” will be available for bookings from mid-March through at least August.
Pay is per performance.

Available roles are Dick Van Dyke/Rob Petrie, Mary Tyler Moore/Laura Petrie, Rose Marie/Sally Rogers and a mysterious male character 25-45 years old. The show will be a flashback, set during the time The Dick Van Dyke Show originally aired, so we are looking for age-appropriate actors as much as possible.

General rules of thumb:
~ You do not need to attend both days.
~ All Auditionees must sign in and be assigned a number.
~ This is an open call, and on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do not schedule audition slots.
~ Be prepared that we may ask you to stick around to read with others or we may dismiss you right away. In either case, don’t read too much into it!
~ Please look over the Production Calendar carefully and note how long the show will be made available for bookings. We ask for all potential scheduling conflicts to be given no later than the Read-Thru to be honored.
Please be 21 or older. For more information, visit http://www.moproductions.net and click on Audition Information.

Okay, gotta go! Putting the finishing touches on the script for “Dick” among other things.  Hope to see you either at the shows or auditions… or both!

Kind Regards,

That snow means you should come see our holiday show!

November 21, 2013

Chilly, wintry greetings to all!

It’s a frosty one out there today, for sure!  But the snow is actually warming my heart quite a bit, because what better a backdrop to have for tomorrow night’s opening of Columbo and The Case of The Country Christmas Killer than to arrive at Cherokee Ranch & Castle and see the castle surrounded by a scenic snowy vista!  Yes, I’ve been out on the roads today, and I’ve done my fair share of cursing, believe me.  But by tomorrow night the roads will be fine, including the scenic two mile driveway leading up to the Castle from Daniels Park Rd!  And you should be there to see it!  So, you must call 303.688.4600 TODAY!  Why, do you ask?  Because tomorrow’s opening has limited seating still available that you can still reserve today or tonight, and our December 22nd performance is SOLD OUT!!  That means tomorrow night is your only chance to two-step and line dance with Miss Kitty Bonanza and crew unless you book us for another public performance at the venue of your choice, or do what Martin/Martin, Inc. did and book us for a private performance.  We are thrilled to be the entertainment for the holiday party of one of Colorado’s biggest and best engineering firms!  “Columbo” is available to be booked through January 31st.  Please call 303.408.4246 for info on booking a public or private performance.

MO Productions is also very proud to unveil our latest creative masterpiece…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Presenting the MO Productions Murder Mystery Tap Shoe Collection Jar for The Denver Actor’s Fund!  This bizarre, silly and slightly frightening object will be on hand for each of our public performances for anyone, including our actors, to drop some spare change or a larger donation.  100% of the funds received will go to The Denver Actor’s Fund, which assists locals actors in various capacities.  We thank the Colorado Theatre Guild and John Moore for providing us the opportunity to support such a worth endeavor!  When our “”There’s Murder “A-foot”” tap shoe is not displayed publicly at a performance, it will be residing with the cast in our Green Room for that night.  To learn more about the Fund, the Tap Shoe Initiative and which other local theatre companies have created their own unique tap shoe, please visit https://twitter.com/denveractorsfun.

I will be sending out a brief blog/newsletter next month for an end of the year wrap-up, to update the rezzie status for our January performances of The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery at Wild Women Wine in downtown Denver, and to announce audition info for our next new show, The Dick Van Dead Show, but otherwise I am going into a bit of winter hibernation to finish writing “Dick”, designing and ordering our holiday card and to see what I can put together for my new annual holiday gift to friends and family: a custom photo calendar.  In the meantime, stay warm, stay dry, and if you don’t know how to drive in the snow (like 95% of the people on the road this morning) then stay the Hell off the roads!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and word of mouth advertising!  Hope to see you tomorrow night!

Hurry and get your rezzies before we sell out!

Our holiday show for 2013, Columbo and The Case of The Country Christmas Killer opens in just over TWO weeks, folks!  We’re having a special Preview Performance by invitation only on Monday, November 18th, and then you get two options of 22’s to see the show at Cherokee Ranch & Castle – 11/22 or 12/22.

Columbo & The Case of The Country Christmas Killer

@Cherokee Ranch & Castle – 6113 N Daniels Park Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135

November 22nd 7:00-10:30 p.m. – Click here to make your reservation for 11/22.

December 22nd 3:00-6:30 p.m. – Click here to make your reservation for 12/22.

It’s Miss Kitty’s Christmas Jamboree, hosted by Miss Kitty Bonanza, the owner of Miss Kitty’s Saloon, and her daughter who manages the saloon, Hannah Bonanza. Miss Kitty, a long-established society matron, throws this party every year to show off how rich she is. Along with Hannah, in attendance are Billy Ray Butternuts, the line dance instructor at Miss Kitty’s Saloon who seems overly familiar with Miss Kitty, Hannah and just about every other woman in the room, Bobby Ray Buttersquash, Bill Ray’s imbecile cousin who has lived in the shadow of Billy Ray and the Bonanzas his entire life, plus a number of regular patrons, friends and other family. Stumbling upon the festivities is America’s favorite crumpled detective. To say he is a fish out of water at this party is an understatement! When it turns out that everyone isn’t quite so merry at this jamboree, Columbo must solve a mysterious death amidst two-steppin’, line dancin’, booze drinkin’ and Christmas carolin’!! This show is family friendly, however gunshots are fired. At least 6 audience members become characters in the show, so if you have someone you’d like to ‘volunteer’ for us, bring ’em along. Also, be prepared to two-step and line dance so bring your dancin’ boots!

In the Castle Great Hall! $70/person includes limited exploration of the Castle, Performance, Supper Buffet from Gourmet Catering, Dessert and Coffee. “Columbo” is still also available to book for both public and private performances through January 31st, but if are thinking of booking us, please contact us at 303.408.4246 right away, as availability may be challenging!

Tickets are now on sale for The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery at Wild Women Wine! Catch one of our January performances or book a private show at WWW or the venue of your choice!  This show is only available to  wine societies, vineyards, country clubs, fundraisers and private parties!

It’s astounding! Time is fleeting… to see a show before the end of 2013!

The Rocky Horror Sherlock Show!

Doesn’t our new cast for The Return of Sherlock Holmes look great as these Rocky Horror characters?  Hmmm… Maybe there’s a new show idea to be found… hehehehe

Hello again in October, all you ghouls, goblins, mummies, deadies & zombies!

“Sherlock” is one of our most favorite shows to perform, and as an alternate show always available to book besides our main productions, we seem to always get bookings for the show right around Halloween, and those bookings always seem to go well.  And I think the reservation counts for our shows tomorrow night and Saturday night (10/25 & 10/26) speak for themselves how much our audiences love the idea of Sherlock in October as well, because both shows have been SOLD OUT for weeks!  We will be performing for close to 200 people between the two nights!!  No pressure for new “Sherlock” Stage Manager/Noah Wainwright, Christopher Michael Judge, LOL! Friday is our monthly performance at Cherokee Ranch & Castle and Saturday takes us to Elizabeth, CO for the first time as we perform at Spring Valley Golf Club for a fundraiser show for the Lions Club of Elizabeth!  For more information about The Return of Sherlock Holmes or about booking a fundraiser performance, please visit our main website or call 303.408.4246.

Columbo and The Case of The Country Christmas Killer

We have been in rehearsal for our holiday show for this year, Columbo and The Case of The Country Christmas Killer, for a couple weeks now, and the new cast  is just terrific!  Please help us give a warm welcome to newcomer Naomi Tucker as our new Miss Kitty Bonanza, recent addition Donald Feyereisen will be our new Bobby Ray Buttersquash, and we had to split the role of Hannah Bonanza due to scheduling conflicts, which also brings MO Pro regular Kathryn Gourley to the show as she learns her fourth role for us this year!!  Transitioning from Actor to new Stage Manager and now Actor again, our new Billy Ray Butternuts will be played by Christopher Michael Judge!  Rounding out the cast are Jaclyn Snyder and Matthew D. Osmun, reprising their roles of Hannah and Columbo.  The performances at Cherokee Ranch & Castle are easy-peasy to remember: 11/22 & 12/22.  You haven’t heard about our Columbo Christmas show?  Well, then here are the details and rezzie info:

Looking ahead to 2014, MO Productions is very happy to announce that we are bringing back the most popular show of 2012, The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery.  However, we will now be offering the show to wineries, vineyards, wine societies and clubs, country clubs/private clubs and for fundraiser shows only, to create a unique experience for the specialized clients/venues.  Will we make an exception and do a regular public performance of this show?  If you have a solid lead/offer to make us, please call us and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you!  😉  Our revamped cast includes Kathryn Gourley reprising her role as Henrietta Hottentotten has got it made, and Matthew D. Osmun, originally Jean Pierre, will fill the shoes of Simon Spade.  Donald Feyereisen slinks in to play Jean Pierre with flair, Naomi Tucker, see above, takes on Victoria Lawless with a voice like the air, and Jillian J. Price, our new Maybelline from “Hillbillies”, is the new Anna Nutherplees, who drinks because life isn’t fair!  We will be performing the show for the first time with the new cast at Wild Women Wine in January!  Tickets went on sale for their VIP Club last weekend and the general public may make reservations starting November 1st.  Seating is limited to only 40 people per performance, so don’t wait to call!

The Grapes of Death: A Vintage Murder Mystery

It appears someone at the 1942 Vintage of the Year awards dinner is a bit… sour!

Amidst all this craziness I am also working in writing our next new shows, The Dick Van Dead Show, which will be available next Spring, and A Wake, A Mistake & A Wedding Cake – A Musical Murder Mystery, which is currently slated for the summer.  We are taking bookings now for these two new shows as well as any of the ones mentioned above.  PLUS… we may also announce at this time that Cherokee Ranch & Castle has opted not to renew their exclusivity on Antiques Revengeshow for 2014, so we may now offer this fantastically creepy & funny show to ALL venues and clients!!

Nuff said, eh?!  Well, just one more thing: Thank you, as always, for your continued support and word-of- mouth advertising.  Don’t gorge yourselves on too much candy next week, folks!

2013 – Top 5 Finalist for
BEST Theatre Group

Thank you!!!

The votes are in for the 2013 Denver A-List, and for the 4th year in a row MO Productions placed as a Finalist in the Top 5 businesses for Best Theatre Group.  And while we only came in 4th Place instead of being the Runner-Up like last year, it is still a recognized finish in the contest by its sponsor, CityVoter, and a higher ranking than the other competing Murder Mystery companies in the contest.  Which means we are the #1 Murder Mystery company in the contest!  This year had a record number of 34 businesses competing.  Thank you all for your support and votes!

Yessiree!  Our creepiest, spookiest and twistiest show is back at Cherokee Ranch & Castle for 2 more public shows this year.  If you have not seen this show yet you really must.  This is the first show written for and exclusively performed at Cherokee Ranch & Castle, and incorporates the Castle itself into the show.  We have the largest number of audience participants than any show ever produced and is as funny as it is creepy!  AND… this next show is being performed on the first Friday the 13th we’ve had in over a year!!  For more information and to buy tickets please visit the Murder Mystery Page on the Castle’s website!

August is here! That means vote now & come see “Hillbillies”!!

August 8, 2013

Hello, all you happy people!  Enjoying the wettest summer we’ve had in a while?  I tell ya, a humid July & August is not what I signed up for when I moved to CO 6½ years ago!

Denver A-List 2012 Award Winner - BEST Theatre Group Runner-Up

We are now down to the last 10 days of voting in the Denver A-List contest, and guess what?  We are NOT in 2nd Place!  “Is that good?”, you may ask?  We were 2nd last year when the contest ended.  However, as of today, we are in 4th Place!  Yes, 4th Place, behind last year’s winner, the Denver Center Theatre Company, St. Luke’s Performing Academy, and CYT, who is in 1st Place with more than 90 votes ahead of us!!  😦

However, there is still time to get us out of 4th Place, but only if YOU help us out!  Remember, you can register and vote with each e-mail address that you have.  Placing in this online contest is extremely helpful to a small business like us, and your support would mean everything to us, so please take the few minutes needed to register and vote!  Voting ends August 18th, so please do this sooner than later!!

Buford Mudpatch

And… They’re baaaaack!  One of our zaniest shows, The Hillbillies From Hell, brings Buford & Maybelline Mudpatch and the rest of the Mudpatch family kin together once again at Cherokee Ranch & Castle for a few hours of hootin’ & hollerin’.  This was last year’s highest-attended show at the Castle, and we are excited to have ’em back, this year out under the Veranda Tent.  As with all of our shows at the Castle, reservations are required.  You can make your rezzies online by clicking here.   But hurry, because seats are filling up!

Another nice improvement we’ve made is updating our show survey to a new digital format online.  Every time you come see a show now, instead of filling out a hard copy survey with a pencil you will be able to take out your smartphone and scan the QR code or type in the url and fill out the survey online before you leave the show that night!  It’s our way of reducing a little more paperwork and being Green.  We will have more exciting things to announce next month, once the details are finalized, so stay posted!

Also, those of you on our e-mail newsletter list will notice that this newsletter is not coming from Yahoo! Groups.  We have switched to a new newsletter service, Emailbrain.  We hope this new service benefits you as much as it does us.  Please let us know your thoughts!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and patronage, as well as your word of mouth advertising!  We hope to see you at “Hillbillies” this month, and then the return of Antiques Revengeshow for Sept & Oct.  We continue to grow and expand creatively because of great people like you!

Kind Regards,

Know what 5 year-olds like to be? #1, of course!

Fireworks

You say it’s your birthday? It’s our birthday too!

Look!  Aurora, CO had a huge fireworks display in celebration of MO Productions’ 5th Birthday!  Huh?  They weren’t for us?  Indy Pen Dance Day?  What’s that?  😉

Here is just a sample of some fun photos taken at our Dress Rehearsal for Match Game Murder Mystery!  Where were these taken at?  Why, Cherokee Ranch & Castle, of course!  What do you mean they don’t look like our other Dress Rehearsal photos?  Oh… You’re talking about the space we’re performing in!  That’s the Veranda Tent out in front of the Castle, silly!

The Veranda Tent

No stuffy Castle for June, July & August!

That’s right!  Summer’s in full-swing, and we experienced our first ever performance out under the tent last month.  How did it go?  Well, let’s just say the evening presented a few challenges for us, primarily in the form of 40+ mph winds all night long that assaulted the walls of the tent.  Now, don’t be alarmed!  Yes, it does get windy at the Castle from time to time, but not usually for an entire day and night.  But we will be prepared for our July 21st performance just in case!

Now for more fun, all you happy campers!  We mentioned this last month.  The Denver A-List is back!!  For the last three years we have been a Finalist, which means we came in under the Top 5 for our category of BEST Theatre Group, and last year we finished an impressive 2nd Place, or Runner-Up.  But as a wise woman once said, 2nd Best is never enough!!  So what can you do?  Vote!  How do you vote?  If you are connected to MO Productions somewhere on the World Wide Web, then you should be practically tripping over the myriad of ways to get your vote in.  We have links on every page of our website.  We have an app on our Facebook Page (Hint – It’s called Vote for Us!).  We created a Facebook Event with a link and explanation.  It’s on my e-mail signature.  And here, you can even just hold up your smart phone to the screen right below:

Winning this contest is incredibly important to us as a small business, so please take a few minutes to register and vote.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.  We look forward to seeing you out under the tent, wind or no wind, for Match Game Murder Mystery on July 21st at 3:30 and The Hillbillies From Hell on August 25th at 3:30.  Also, we are starting to get people inquiring about holiday parties with Murder Mystery, so maybe you should call us too if you’ve ever thought about it or are just thinking about it now for the first time.  Don’t forget: We do Home Parties!

Kind Regards,
